Abstract
The Adam Smith's metaphor of «invisible hand» deeply characterizes the scientific paradigm of economic science and its interdisciplinary branches like antitrust analysis. To grasp the theological origin of this idea may help to understand why it is theoretically divisive in fixing the limits of the separate domain of the markets and the State.
