Abstract
The aim of this essay is to highlight the functional safeguards for the early identification of the crisis in the Italian Fixed Capital Investment Companies (SICAFs), with focus on the umbrella-fund variant. In particular, we will see that both «common» Company Law and «specific» tools must be tailored to each individual sub-fund instead of to the entire company in order to reveal their imbalance which – then – leads to the crisis of the SICAF itself.
