Abstract
The article aims to demonstrate the importance of social-health integration as a tool to promote the implementation of the right to health. A complex idea of health is assumed, not simply connected to the absence of disease but associated, rather, with the general state of well-being of the person. Starting from this assumption, the right to health can only be ensured by connecting social assistance and health assistance in a structural way. The evolution of these two areas took place on two parallel tracks, and regulatory attempts in Italy, aimed at encouraging their integration, have had limited and uneven results. The institutes of coprogramming and coplanning, introduced with the new third sector Code, are assumed as possible tools to promote socio-health integration, understood as a model capable of rearticulating the logic of assistance
