Abstract

The essay deals with the relationship between power and the spaces that surround and separate it from the outside. This antichambre (or camarilla) of indirect influences protects and controls the ruler, according to a dialectic which is defined on the basis of the concepts of «propagation» and «isolation». The stability of constitutional balances depends on the proper functioning of the antichambre's rules, especially in cases of weakness of the ruler.
