Abstract
Drafting laws about bioethical issues seems to be a typical parliamentarian and political matter, in Italy, as well as in many other Western Countries. In the Eastern World, which is far more attached to its own religious roots, the topic has not been discussed yet, but the paralysis of liberal and democratic institutions shows even more alarming features, a clear symptom of the step back that representative democracy and social reality are suffering in a particularly strong way.
