Abstract
This paper aims at critically examining the analytical perspective proposed by a recent work by Daniel O'Neill. In particular, it discusses the convenience of a dichotomous distinction, between "we" and "the others", based on a purely imperialistic logic, in Edmund Burke's writings on slavery.
