Abstract
The essay aims to analyze the Supreme Court’s role in the United Kingdom’s system of government over the past decade. The Supreme Court has become increasingly involved in the judicial review of the actions of the government, in questions of Eu Law and Constitutional Law, and, trought the Human Rights Act 1998, in questions of human rights. Since 2009, there have also been many relevant judgments on devolution wich helped to understand the UK’s devolution settlements. All these competences make the Supreme Court the de facto Constitutional Court of the United Kingdom.
