Abstract

The essay analyzes the Italian system of corruption prevention and the role of the National Anti-Corruption Authority (Anac). Law 190 of 2012 laid the foundations for a corruption prevention system that was developed more recently, in particular with the decision to strengthen the Anac by entrusting it to regulating and supervising public contracts. This results in a complex design that needs to be deepened, in which we find, converging in order to prevent the occurrence of corruption episodes, corruption prevention plans and measures to strengthen integrity and impartiality, officials duties and incompatibility rules, new transparency tools, penetrating regulatory powers in the field of public contracts.
