Abstract
The 2001 constitutional reform of the italian regional states led the constitutional court to enhance the principle of sincere cooperation. This principle became a sort of legal standard, creating a strict scrutiny on the national legislative acts and producing a creative case law with some unpredictable outcomes. The essay suggests correcting this case law, starting from a new conceptualization of the sincere cooperation, to be understood as a political method of governing.
