Abstract
The article presents a short story about political parties in representative governments and displays data on the European continent’s electoral volatility, participation, and recent evolution of party systems. The last shows the weakening of moderate, pro-European parties and the consequences of it concerning different possible coalitions able to govern the largest member states of the European Union.
