Abstract
In 1848, the Grand Duchy of Tuscany established a State Council virtually having jurisdiction over disputes in which a part was Public Administration. The analysis of the related case-law highlights that the Tuscan Council of State managed to trace back new issues of administrative law in the framework of the tradition of Roman and Canon common law.
