Abstract
The author conducts a comparison from both the constitutional and sub-constitutional points of view between Quebec and the other Canadian Provinces. He addresses the question of whether Quebec has particular status, not in the sense of a different legal order but rather in that of a different attribution of powers reflected in constitutional or legislative provisions. It appears evident from the Canadian Constitution that Quebec does not have competences and powers not granted to the other Provinces; and also at the sub-constitutional level (financing system, taxation, etc.) it is clear that the differences result only from a free choice taken by Quebec which is available to the other provinces as well.
