Abstract

Cultural economy and environmental economy, although working separately, share many themes and approaches. Among these, the issue of value and its measurement, the spatial and territorial dimension, the special place given to policy-making, the specific financial issues, common roots in the welfare economics and the Public Choice Theory are worth recalling. Sustainable development as a planning concept tends to encompass both disciplines.
