Abstract
The participatory and procedural processes of public art are characterised by their great diversity, originating in the artist's desire to express the soul of places, involvement of a plurality of protagonists in a shared project, or a process of urban renewal. He described examples highlight characteristics and problems with this type of activity, such as the participatory approach, the search for resources and financing, the role of mediators and public institutions, and the current situation in Italy.
