Abstract
The cultural and creative processes, even the concept of culture, have gradually changed in recent years in relation to the impact that Internet and digital innovations have had on the creation and consumption of content. European Union tries, with the new program 2014/2020 Creative Europe, to reaffirm its key role in the global geopolitical arena as a guardian but also as a producer of cultural goods, celebrating the meeting between culture and digital. In Italy, where a digital divide comes to add to a cultural divide, it's urgent an effective policy on digital literacy, and that citizens and businesses be aware of the possibility that digital world offers, to produce innovation not only in the processes but also in the content itself.
