Abstract
The article focuses on the dynamics through which social innovation initiatives are able to grow and stabilise over time. The consolidation processes are analysed through four main dynamics – scaling processes, diffusion, institutionalization and transformation. Qualitative case studies are used to exemplify how these processes can be shaped in the interaction between social innovation and the welfare contexts in which it is generated and developed
