Abstract
In Italy, the number of available foster carers is inadequate when compared to the need of the alternative care for the children. This study focuses on the action put into practice by ten «significant» foster care centres, with the intention of highlighting the foster care promotion methodology, the activities used to stimulate fostering motivations, and the strategies used to recruit new foster families.
