Abstract
This article aims to reconstruct the complexity that characterizes the professional experience of juvenile criminal professionals with particular reference to the impact of the Covid-19’s health emergency on their daily working life and on the experience of minors. Starting from a qualitative research carried out through semistructured interviews with 22 operators of the Campania juvenile penal system who participated in the training program Prefigurare il Futuro activated by the Patrizio Paoletti Foundation, this article will focus on: the description of everyday working life of the operators with a focus on their ambivalences; the strategies implemented to cope with difficulties also through the tools provided by the training; the impact of the recent Covid-19 pandemic. Particular attention will be paid to the experiences of the operators, their concerns, their fears, but also to the skills they have deployed in such a complex historical period.
