Abstract
The article briefly outlines the Italian context in relation to the youth condition and policies activated by local governments to support young people in their transition to adulthood. The paper reflects this division: paragraphs 1 and 2 introduce the current situation of young people in Italy (in comparison to some Eu countries); paragraphs 3 and 4 focus on local youth policies starting from European guidelines. The last section deals with some concluding remarks.
