Abstract
The objective of this article is to explore existing policies related to youth in Greece. In particular, we describe the youth policies in the public sector including leisure, education, employment and entrepreneurship, citizenship and political participation. Moreover, we explore the programs dedicated to the young people and the role of civil society. Finally, we evaluate the consequences of the current hegemonic constellation that emerges within the global markets, the European Union and the neoliberal political forces in Greece for the youth policies and the young people.
