Abstract

This article describes some processes of ethnic-racial categorization developed within the context of public policies addressed to the education of unaccompanied foreign minors in the metropolitan area of Paris. More in detail, the focus of the analysis is on sexist and racist categorizations which can contribute to racial and ethnic categorization of unaccompanied foreign minors aged between 16 and 18 years, educated through the intervention of specific public policies in special classroom constituted in technical colleges or other regional centres for education.
