Abstract
The analysis of integration processes requires a reflection on mechanisms producing the social image of «immigrant», related prejudices and exclusion processes. These dynamics affect the implementation of welcome policies. The analysis is based on the identification of the main models that define the practices of integration, proposing a reinterpretation due to recent changes. This study takes into account the latest data with respect to the flow of immigrants-refugees and opinions of citizens.
