Abstract

This article focuses on the relationship between pension funds and local development and discusses these issues through a case study analysis. In the first part, the empirical analysis, based on in-depth interviews with key informants, describes the decision-making process, highlighting the role of the organizational actors. Secondly, the effects on industrial relations of corporate governance change within the company involved in investments are investigated. Finally, the paper discusses some problematic elements that, in a medium-term perspective, could reduce the positive effects of the pension found strategies.
