Abstract
Parenting in prison is restricted by penitentiary times and spaces and the «normality» of the relationship is conditioned by the «novelty» of the imprisonment experience. This article aims at observing the penal administration interventions in encouraging the maintenance of parental ties, with a particular interest in the impulse actions of those structures that collaborate with associations. Considering the impact of the health emergency for the Covid-19 and after outlining the regulatory framework, the investigation identifies a property of the topic being studied operationalized through the modalities of intramural meetings with minors. Following authoritative literature, we will first proceed to the illustration of some significant national experiences and then specify the analytical point of view on those carried out within the Regional Superintendency of the prison administration for Emilia-Romagna and Marche in order to check if and how those seeds “thrownµ by the central government germinate in the territories.
