Abstract
This paper addresses the issue of algorithmic manipulation from a semiotic perspective and aims to provide some hints for the establishment of tools capable of de-energizing manipulation phenomena. We will proceed by considering two meanings of manipulation: the first, as an evolutionary practice of bricolage; the second, as a regression effect of the hand and conditioning or submission through algorithms. The semiotic key will clarify the functioning of algorithmic manipulation giving an opening on the way of coexistence of the human being in a network of hybrids.
