Abstract
This work examines the writing semiotic from a wide perspective, meaning not only alphabetic and/or ideogrammatic texts, but also figurative ones with two or three dimensions. In this context, research focuses on possibilities and actualisations of re-writings aiming, now and in the past, at mystifying or concealing original texts to hide their meaning through some rules. It is possible to show secret writings examples and to highlight how their transformation into figures falls within the sign and text translation theory.
