A research review is presented on environmental and architectural psychology for schools. The aim is to improve positive and negative environmental effects on people's everyday life within school environments, especially for pupils. The state of the art encompasses several topics from school's spatial organization, to indoor and outdoor spaces' environmental features, together with best practice from different countries. Practical implications from all these topics' results can benefit and improve existing school contexts' features, in order to meet students' real needs for their performance, satisfaction, and well-being.
