Abstract
The purpose of the article is to analyze and organize the scientific literature on the perception of responsibility. Through a scoping review, 40 studies published between 2009 and 2017 were selected, analyzed according to three categories: (1) definition; (2) purpose and method of research; (3) relationship with other variables. The main results have shown that responsibility has at least three meanings (personal, relational, and social), it is studied quantitatively, in young populations, and it is related to other personal and relational constructs, less to contextual variables. In the discussion, suggestions for future research are proposed.
