Abstract
The idea according to which the foreign policy would be constrained by “conditioning factorsµ identifies the main line of continuity between classical geopolitics and contemporary geopolitics. In light of the legal implications of the geopolitical concept of “conditioning factorsµ, the essay would like to question the hypothesis related to an inclusion of the constitutional provisions concerning the foreign policy among these constraints. In particular, in a comparative perspective, the essay aims to propose a taxonomy of the (substantial) constitutional clauses concerning the foreign policy, also analyzing the effectiveness of these provisions.
