Abstract
Pending the decision of the Court of Justice, the Advocate General has filed his conclusions on the European Super League case, which risks upsetting the European sporting framework. In this contribution, starting from the conclusions of the AG, the stability of his reasoning is investigated, questioning on the value of the art. 165 TFEU, on the existence and characteristics of the “European sports modelµ and on the compatibility of the European Super League project with EU competition law, in the light of the principle of specificity of sport.
