Abstract

The aim of this paper is to show how the current regulation on the right to vote of Hungarians living abroad may constitute a case of voter suppression within the European Union: in particular, the issue is analysed from the point of view of the compatibility of this legal framework with the Hungarian Basic Law, the European Convention on Human Rights and the rules on the election of the European Parliament
