Abstract

The European Commission for Democracy trough Law (better known as the Venice Commission) is an independent consultative body on issue of constitutional law. After more of thirty years of experience, the Commission played a decisive role worldwide in the adoption and implementation of constitutions in keeping with Europe’s constitutional heritage. Comparative constitutional law has a substantial role in the activities and deliberations of the Commission on constitutional assistance about form of government and is worthy of analysis in this paper.
