Abstract

The article examines the development of environmental law in Italy over the past twenty-five years, highlighting the transition from eco-skepticism to environmental constitutionalism. It deals with the political and legal challenges, the impact of international environmental doctrines, and the development of environmental law within the Italian context. Special attention is given to the role and contributions of the comparative law journal DPCE (Diritto Pubblico Comparato ed Europeo) in fostering and reflecting these changes. Through a bio-bibliographic lens, the article traces the author’s personal journey and contributions to the field, underscoring the increasing recognition of environmental issues within Italian legal doctrine and the constitutional implications.
