Abstract
The contribution introduces the monographic section on methodologies of legal comparison and classifications. It outlines the structure and the overall meaning of the work and identifies the fil rouge that binds the articles of the section. More specifically, it highlights the reasons that suggest the need for a reflection on taxonomies and specifies the role that such a reflection has in overcoming the distinction between comparative public and private law.
