Abstract

The article moves from the wide notions of «culture» and of «cultural and creative sectors», and describes the path that brought EU to take actions in the field of culture, with a particular focus on Creative Europe Programme. After that, analyzing the new European Agenda for Culture, it aims to draw up future scenarios for cultural and creative sectors in EU. Particular attention is paid to two tools that will be strengthened in the strategic framework of this new Agenda: the proposal of Regulation establishing the new Creative Europe Programme 2021- 2027 and the initiative «Cultural and Creative Sectors Guarantee Facility».
