Abstract
This essay deals with the opening of constitutional jurisdiction to claims based on both constitutional rights and the EU Charter. It examines the relationships of constitutional courts and the ECJ involving issues of double jurisdiction and interpretive integration of constitutional and European parameters. Following a comparative approach, different models of concurring and separate jurisdiction are singled out. The article ends with a critical evaluation of the theoretical arguments underlying constitutional courts' review.
