Abstract

This article examines the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in the teaching of philosophy, in order to enhance students’ strategic competencies and to address the challenges of complexity. It begins by drawing on the Orientamenti and Indicazioni Nazionali guidelines to frame the role of philosophy in the knowledge society. Then, by integrating two frameworks – the 21st-century skills outlined by the World Economic Forum and the European Union’s eight key competencies – the article reflects on the contribution of philosophy to the development of essential life skills. Finally, three concrete examples of philosophy teaching activities using AI tools are presented. These activities can be easily replicated by teachers and adapted to specific needs.
