Abstract
Based on an analysis of the actual experience of some Marchean high schools, this paper proposes a reflection on the educational value of the theatre for schools. The distinctive feature examined is the practice of bringing to the stage philosophical texts written by pupils during curricular Philosophy lessons. The keyconcepts which substantiate this reflection are the following: the comparison between the philosophical text and the stage text; the comparison between professional theatre and scholastic theatre, which has a chiefly educational goal; and, finally, the use of fiction as a scenic and educational instrument to interpret the real world and one's self-consciousness.
