Abstract
Pastoral visits prove to be an essential source for research on old age and ageing. This study focuses on two main aspects: the impact of ageing on the clergy and its effect on the performance of their duties, and the concubinage relationships of elderly priests, which often evolve into long-lasting unions. Additionally, it investigates who provided care for these ecclesiastics in their final years. This documentation undoubtedly offers valuable insights into how the church addressed old age and its challenges, providing another perspective on the lives of the elderly in the Middle Ages
