Abstract
As a conclusion to the monographic issue of «Quaderni di storia religiosa medievale», 27, 1-2, 2024, entitled Tools of Devotion in the Religious Practices of the Middle Ages and edited by Fabio Massaccesi and Zuleika Murat, the paper aims to formulate some methodological considerations relating to the typical approaches of the historical discipline and the history of art, regarding the sources and their producers and users.
