Abstract
This article focuses on how grassroots militants from right-wing political parties build their political careers. In particular, by drawing on the notion of «deviant career » (Becker), it analyses how young members of the "Front National" - or «frontists» - engage within this party, despite the stigmatization surrounding their involvement. In addition, the article displays how ethnography allows us to go beyond the «mask of respectability» of the FN party and grasp its complexity.
