Abstract
This contribution is the result of an ethnographic research carried out in Eastern Sicily between 2015 and 2016, mainly aimed at investigating the reception policies and practices of asylum seekers, refugees and unaccompanied foreign minors. In particular, the high presence of unaccompanied minors in this area has directed the author's attention to the reception practices and measures specifically applied to this category. The contribution will examine two cases of escapes: these will be considered as the result of the control strategies adopted by the actors involved in the reception system, and as a resistance practices carried out by minors in order to cope with these forms of control.
