Abstract
This article is the introduction to the monographic issue of ERQ dedicated to the critical ethnography of educational processes. We focus on the theoretical frameworks and empirical research lines that cross this field of qualitative and ethnographic studies. We particularly emphasize the key role ethnography can play in the study of educational transitions, in analyzing the processes of neoliberalization of the educational field and in accounting for the interaction between youth cultures and exclusion processes in educational spaces.
