Abstract
The world certainly is independent of our mind and our language. However, objectivity is a social product. It is formed when individuals confront each other and when their perspective exposes itself to intersubjective criticism and correction. In this conception the Hegelian thesis according to which "the real is the spiritual" reappears. However, Hegel totally resolves the natural immediacy in conceptual mediation. A post-metaphysical realism inherits the Hegelian primacy of the spirit without presuming to resolve the natural given in sociality.
