Abstract
The text focuses on the conflict between Rudolf Wiethölter and Jürgen Habermas over the “definitionµ of the expression “The Philosopher as a true teacher of Lawµ. This Streit can be considered as one particular case within a more general dispute between the philosopher Habermas and the jurist Wiethölter on the concept of “lawµ and of the corresponding “juristµ, whose first clear enunciation can be found in the Geburtstagsrede, the speech given by Wiethölter in 1984 on his friend and colleague Ludwig von Friedeburg’s birthday
