Abstract

D’Agostino’s natural law theory is based on what he calls “metaphysical naturalismµ. The article explores, in dialogue with D’Agostino, the possibility of another kind of naturalism, closer to science and not depending on a teleological theory, which can give an alternative account of natural law. A comparison between the two approaches is therefore necessary, both historically and theoretically
