Abstract
Replying to the criticisms raised by Enrico Diciotti and Giorgio Pino, the author assesses his views concerning: first, the distinction between "in abstracto" (text-oriented) and "in concreto" (fact-oriented) interpretation; second, the distinction between cognitive and adjudicative interpretation; third, the distinction between interpretation strictly understood and legal construction, as well as the resulting divide between expressed and unexpressed norms.
