Abstract
This essay examines how the thesis expressed in Paolo Grossi's book "Ritorno al diritto" (Laterza, 2015) has influenced his activity as an Italian constitutional court judge, inspiring his legal reasoning and shaping his concept of judicial review. The essay analyzes some high-court cases assigned to Paolo Grossi as judge and rapporteur and endeavors to answer this main research question: Has Paolo Grossi's sensitivity to equity and his deep knowledge of European legal history contributed to solving concrete judicial disputes?
