Abstract

This article provides a preliminary reflection on the notion of "limits of the law." After providing a critical reflection on the different ways in which legal scholarship deals with the law as an object of knowledge, the article outlines the contradictory nature of the idea of "legal determination" and engages with philosophical reflections on the concept of "limit." Finally, the article elaborates a concept of "limit" as a constitutive paradox of the law.
