Abstract
This essay offers a brief reflection on borders and territories from a socio-legal and philosophical perspective. Starting from the role of territory in the classic theory of the state, the essay proposes some critical reflections on the backside effects of recent legal changes and how they have affected the everyday protection and implementation of human rights in Europe.
